We are looking for someone who wants to work as a personal assistant for a young man in his 30s. He has, among other things, extensive autism, intellectual disabilities, and motor difficulties. He has a limited verbal language and uses sounds, visual support, and some signs to communicate.

As a person, you are secure, cheerful, and caring. You are good at reading situations and can adapt accordingly. It is important that you are responsible and can take your own initiatives. We prefer that you have a positive outlook on life and see opportunities instead of obstacles. It is an advantage if you have knowledge of the autism spectrum and intellectual disabilities, as well as experience in care and support work. You must have a very good command of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.

You will be working with a young man who is just over 30 years old. He needs support and help with everything in his daily life, around the clock. He has his own accommodation in an adapted house, which provides excellent conditions for assistance. He enjoys watching movies, listening to music, singing, surfing on his phone, and going on various outings, such as to the store, the zoo, or taking walks in his wheelchair.

Your tasks will include creating safety and clarity in various contexts. You need to provide support and assistance with his daily living activities. This may involve help and support with transfers, training, household chores, personal care, and hygiene, as well as other activities. Assistance is provided both at home and in other locations. Working with this young man places high demands on your experience and suitability.

You will be part of a friendly workgroup with well-functioning routines. The assistants at this workplace have been working for a long time and are happy to share their knowledge. You will have the opportunity for a long introduction and plenty of support in your role as an assistant.

The position is approximately 20%. The fixed schedule consists of work every third weekend, Saturday and Sunday from 7:30 AM to 7:40 PM. In addition, you will act as a substitute during the absence of regular staff. We hope you can work more during holiday periods, such as the upcoming summer.

The position starts on May 1st or by agreement. We conduct interviews on an ongoing basis.
