Property is one of Umeå's larger builders and managers of premises. Property is divided into four departments: Construction and Property Technology, Property Management, Property Operations, and Technical Planning and Administration. More about the Property Operations Department and the Role of Drift Technician

Property Operations is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and supervision as well as energy measures in the municipality's properties and is divided into three management areas. In each area, there is an area manager, operations coordinator, drift technician, property caretaker, and electrician. Within Property Operations, there are also employees who work with land and green area maintenance, energy, ventilation, electricity and electrical safety, locks and alarms, as well as technical administration. Property Operations consists of about 70 employees.

In the role of drift technician with us, you will be responsible for a group of properties within the operational area you belong to. There, you will perform supervision and maintenance of technical installations as well as corrective and preventive maintenance work.

In addition, you will among other things:

be responsible for the adjustment of technical installations and setting of operating times, including following up on energy statistics.
monitor/address remarks in authority protocols such as sprinkler, fire alarms, supervision, fire, and OVK.
be responsible for SBA controls
be a facility caretaker for fire alarms/sprinklers
monitor/follow up that external resources perform their tasks according to the given order/contract and within the agreed time.
provide suggestions for LPU and reinvestment measures

You will also participate in:

occupational safety issues that arise in the premises of the operations
inspections
energy investigations and energy optimization

The work also includes administrative tasks and participation in projects during new construction and renovations.

About You

We are looking for someone with education from a qualified vocational training (KY) as a drift technician with a focus on property or a university degree in drift technician with a focus on property or equivalent knowledge. You have worked in the property sector with operational-related issues, preferably as a drift technician or property technician with similar tasks.

You have good knowledge of heating and ventilation as well as control and regulation systems. We would like you to have experience with locks and access control as well as sprinkler and fire alarm systems. General electrical authorization is an advantage but not a requirement. Your computer skills are good.

Since the position involves a lot of contact with customers and contractors, it is required that you are service-oriented and attentive with good communication skills. As you will have great freedom to solve the challenges you face in your work, we believe that you also thrive in a role where you can be responsible and independent.

The position requires a B driver's license.

Due to the law on suitability control, an extract from the police's criminal record must be presented upon employment.
