The Umeå factory is one of the largest factories in the Volvo Group. With our 1600 employees, we are one of the largest industries in Norrland. Here, cabs for Volvo Trucks are produced, from steel coils to painted cabs. Who are you?

As a maintenance electrician with us, you will work with both corrective and preventive maintenance in our production facility in the press hall. In this role, you will follow the instructions issued by the electrical operations manager regarding electrical work, report the activities performed in our maintenance system, and also work with analysis and follow-up. You will also work on optimization by implementing minor changes in our systems. You will work cross-functionally through process teams and participate in projects. If necessary, you will also support and instruct other maintenance staff during troubleshooting and root cause analysis.

Qualifications

• Theoretical knowledge equivalent to at least the high school Electrical program with a focus on electrical engineering or automation
• Practical experience in electrical/automation work
• Training in Siemens TIA Portal and Simatic S7
• Experience in practical troubleshooting and programming of PLC systems

Desirable

• Experience in manufacturing or process industry
• Experience working in IFS Maintenance System
• Experience working in projects
• Robot competence ABB/KUKA
