Ankarsrums School is a F-9 school with an after-school program. The school is a rural school located 25 kilometers outside of Västervik. Currently, there are 126 students in our F-6 unit. We have fantastic proximity to historical environments, lakes, forests, and land.

Ankarsrums School consists of several detached buildings. The Stone House is for grades F-3 and the after-school program, while the Brick House houses the middle school on the lower floor of the high school facilities. We share a cafeteria, library, auditorium, home economics room, woodwork, and textile crafts. We also have a detached sports hall for physical education classes. In close proximity, there is also access to a youth center.

We are now looking for a teacher for grades 1-7 at Ankarsrums F-6 School.

Your Responsibilities

Your responsibilities include planning, implementing, and evaluating work according to the school's governing documents and with our vision in mind, both individually and together with other educators at the school. You will conduct your own teaching and also collaborate closely with other educators in the organization.

As a teacher, you work to promote each student's development and learning. Your responsibility includes creating good relationships with students, parents, and colleagues. You are a role model for all students at the school.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a teaching degree and teaching certification for grades 1-7, preferably with a broad background in Swedish/Social Studies/Math/Science/English to work as a class teacher/mentor in a 4th grade.

To succeed and thrive with us, you need to have a good ability to collaborate, be attentive, and easily understand other people's perspectives. You need to be confident in yourself, stable, and have good self-awareness.

It is important in the role that you have a well-developed pedagogical ability. You have a good understanding of how children and adolescents absorb knowledge and the different conditions for learning. It is also important that you are flexible and can easily adapt to changing circumstances in the organization.

The position is 100% and permanent starting from 250811.

The positions are subject to background checks. Applicants must present an extract from the police criminal record before employment occurs.

If you are newly graduated, you will be offered an introductory year with a mentor, time for discussions, and municipal meetings.
