Medical Engineer for Medical Technology

Medical Technology is part of Medical Physics and Technology (MFT), which is Region Kronoberg's expert function in radiation safety and medical technology safety. We provide technical support for medical equipment used in the region's hospitals, health centers, and municipalities. We are involved in the entire lifecycle of the equipment, from planning and purchasing to decommissioning. We manage, among other things, ECGs, patient monitoring, operating tables, X-ray equipment, and home care equipment. The breadth of our work provides great development opportunities and room for professional growth in several areas for you as an employee. You will have access to training in areas such as medical technology safety, electrical safety, quality, measurement technology, and ESD, as well as device-specific training based on needs. The work is carried out in close collaboration with healthcare staff and internal support functions as well as with our external partners. The department's staff is located at both hospitals in the region but works across the county.

Your main placement will be at the Central Hospital in Växjö, but travel for work to Ljungby Hospital and health centers in the region may occur.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are now looking for someone who wants to work with technical support in healthcare and act as a link between technology and care. As a project manager in medical technology (MT), you will coordinate the medical technology delivery in various complex projects, including implementation and development projects at the intersection of MT and IT. The work is based on the needs of the operations, which are compiled into a comprehensive picture and translated into project goals and requirements for equipment. Projects are driven forward in close collaboration with healthcare staff and suppliers. You will also participate in administrative work and represent MT in administrative groups, both during implementation and in already operational systems.

QUALIFICATIONS

To be considered for the position, you have:

• experience as a project manager of multidisciplinary and technology-heavy projects, as well as the ability to lead several parallel ongoing projects.
• experience from system implementations, complex system upgrade projects, and/or integration projects.
• a degree in engineering at the university level, preferably in medical technology, electronics, or IT.
• a valid driver's license (B).
• good knowledge of both Swedish and English in both spoken and written form.

A large part of the equipment park is part of the region's IT infrastructure, which makes good IT skills an advantage. Work experience in medical technology is also an advantage, as well as certification as a medical engineer.
