About Us

The Child and Adolescent Clinic provides specialist healthcare to young people aged 0–18 in Blekinge.

The clinic has approximately 135 permanent employees, including 25 doctors, of which 8 are in specialist training. Care is divided into two units, one in Karlskrona and one in Karlshamn. The emergency services and inpatient care with a pediatric ward and neonatal ward are located in Karlskrona. In Karlskrona, we also have our daycare, and our neonatal home care is based here. The outpatient clinic is located in both Karlskrona and Karlshamn.

About the Job

We offer a specialist training position in general pediatrics with varied tasks in both outpatient and inpatient care, as well as education that follows the National Board of Health and Welfare's regulations and general advice, including both external and internal training. The clinic has an engaged specialist-trained training director, and you will receive a specialist-trained supervisor and a training contract upon employment. Both supervision and study time are scheduled. The position includes on-call duties.

Region Blekinge places all permanent staff in a crisis position. Some of our positions are security classified, where the employee must undergo a security screening interview and background check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585).

About You

We are looking for a licensed physician with an interest in child and adolescent medicine. As a person, you are positive, flexible, have good communication skills, and find it easy to collaborate. Previous experience in child and adolescent medicine is an advantage.

Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.

Applicants who are being considered for employment must provide an extract from the Police Authority's criminal record before employment.
