The specialized child and adolescent psychiatry in Blekinge County consists of outpatient clinics in Karlshamn and Karlskrona as well as intermediate care at both locations. A shared emergency/inpatient department is located in Karlskrona. At the clinics, several different professions work together closely and well. We are a wonderful group with a good atmosphere in the work team. You will have regular supervision, both collegial in the form of treatment conferences and external method supervision. As a new employee, you will also be assigned a mentor who provides extra support in getting into the routines and structure of the clinic. We actively work with patient safety and have an ongoing effort to develop and follow up on our operations. Competence development is a prioritized area within BUP.

About the Job

Your employment will be at the outpatient clinic in Karlshamn. You will work weekdays Monday to Friday without weekend shifts. As we strive to create a unified BUP across the county, the position may also involve some work within BUP's inpatient department with evening and weekend shifts.

As a nurse at BUP in Karlshamn, you play an important role at the clinic with your holistic perspective. Your tasks include being responsible for follow-up of, among other things, CS and SSRI, follow-up for interventions for sleep, eating disorders, drug screening as needed, supportive conversations, and counseling. You also conduct health conversations with a holistic focus to map and influence the factors affecting the patient's health and well-being. You collaborate with patients and their families, as well as with schools, social services, and other care providers as needed.

BUP in Blekinge has started an exciting development project for nurses, which means you will be part of the ongoing work together with the nurses at the clinic in both Karlshamn and Karlskrona. You will also have close collaboration with the medical team and other team members at the clinic. Your tasks will include supervising students. When you come as a new nurse to our clinic, we adapt your introduction based on your experiences and needs. Introduction takes place both at the outpatient clinic and at BUP's inpatient department. Your tasks will also include supervising students.

About You

You are a licensed nurse and preferably have at least 2 years of experience in the profession. It is an advantage if you have experience in child psychiatric work and further education in psychiatry or other relevant further education. Even if you have experience in educating children and adolescents and their guardians in various group treatments.

You are attracted to work in outpatient care where you will meet a wide spectrum of patients with a great variety of issues and functional levels. You are interested in children's development and mental health and in offering them and their families the best treatment interventions based on evidence. You are interested in contributing to the development of care at the clinic, bringing your own ideas and taking initiative. You see challenges as opportunities for personal development, are self-driven, flexible, structured, and relationship-building. To succeed in the role, you have good collaboration skills with colleagues, supervisors, as well as with children and their families.
