Vikingaskolan is a K-6 school located in the Bomhus district and belongs to the Lillhagen principal area. In the Lillhagen principal area, we work based on our prioritized goals: knowledge, values, and student health work. We are a three-parallel school with about 480 students. We strive to be a school with a strong learning culture where collegial learning, co-planning, and co-assessment are in focus. The school is characterized by good academic results and a social environment that all staff and students appreciate, care for, and help maintain and strengthen.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Do you want to shape Gävle's future together with us? Then you could be the teacher we are looking for at Vikingaskolan. Together we create conditions for students' learning!

As a teacher for grades 1-3, you will work with planning, teaching, and assessment. You will have class responsibility as well as responsibility for mapping, planning, implementing, and evaluating lessons. The work is carried out according to established goals and guidelines. The responsibilities also include mentorship and working with your colleagues to design a good, enjoyable, and varied school day with the students' best interests in focus. You challenge and support students so that they achieve good academic results and adapt your teaching based on all students' needs and conditions. The work is carried out in collaboration with other educators, student health, guardians, and other actors outside the school. Collegial learning is important to you.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a teaching degree and teaching certification with the authority to teach in grades 1-3. To successfully fulfill the role, you need to have knowledge of and experience with digital tools, be familiar with and knowledgeable about the primary school curriculum, and have the ability to express yourself well in the Swedish language in both speech and writing.

You have the ability to lead and motivate students, helping them to feel comfortable and thrive. You are good at creating an open dialogue and adapt your language according to the situation, and you have a strong ability to make students feel a sense of belonging and inclusion. Furthermore, you have a humble approach in your collaboration with others, take initiative in social contexts, and have the ability to build trusting relationships. You are structured and plan your work well. You can also see what needs to be prioritized, are efficient, and use resources effectively to achieve results.
