University Lecturer

We are looking for a university lecturer for the Department of Building Technology, Energy Systems, and Environmental Science.

The position is a temporary appointment where you will work with both teaching and research projects in environmental science. Start as soon as possible with a planned end date of 260630, with the possibility of extension. The position is 100%, or as agreed.

Responsibilities

The position includes planning and conducting teaching in our courses and programs in environmental science, in collaboration with colleagues. You will also work on a project about sustainable local travel with the following tasks:

  • Communication with companies, stakeholders, and the surrounding community.
  • Conducting a survey.
  • Process description and evaluation of behavioral interventions.
  • Documentation of project results, in collaboration with colleagues.
  • Organization of scientific seminars.

The workplace is Högskolan i Gävle where regular operations are conducted during office hours. The possibility for remote work is very limited as much of the work is done physically on site. The position may also require some travel within Europe.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a master's degree in environmental science or equivalent. You have completed courses in environmental psychology or subjects deemed equivalent by the employer.

To succeed in this position, you must have the ability to take initiative to carry out project activities, good collaboration skills, and the ability to communicate with different groups involved in the assignment. The university will place great emphasis on personal suitability in the selection process.

You should, considering the content of the position and the tasks, demonstrate a good ability to express yourself in both spoken and written Swedish and English.

Experience in statistical analysis and knowledge of sustainable travel, behavioral interventions, or physical municipal planning is an advantage for the position.
