We are excited that you are interested in working as a leisure teacher with us at Östra School!

Östra School is a primary school with a long history in a beautiful building located in central Luleå. Here, there are environments that create conditions for varied working methods and teaching with smaller student groups. The school has students from preschool class to grade 6, as well as leisure activities divided into two departments. The students are grouped by age in their respective homes where they mostly have their teaching.

The collegial learning among the educators is significant, and together we drive school development. Some of the school's prioritized areas are continued work with values and a language-developing approach. The active work contributes to higher goal fulfillment as well as safe and independent students.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for two engaged leisure teachers who want to help create a safe and stimulating leisure environment for our students. The position involves working with a student group in leisure after school hours.
You will be responsible, together with your colleagues, for conducting an active and stimulating leisure activity and related follow-up. The work team consists of leisure teachers, where collegial collaboration is very strong.

The positions are temporary employment at 50% until June 20, 2025. Working hours are scheduled for the afternoon.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is a certified teacher with a focus on leisure and who has good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. Experience in leisure activities is an advantage.

To succeed in this role, you need to be good at building positive relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. You have a salutogenic value base and a strong student focus. As you will be part of a group of engaged educators at the school, succeeding in your collaborations will be key to your success. It is also important that you can maintain a good mood even under pressure or setbacks, and that you can find solutions to emerging problems. We also appreciate if you enjoy movement, aesthetic learning processes, and have knowledge in any of those areas.

Great importance will be placed on personal suitability.
