Kastellskolan, the only free school in Härnösand, is a non-profit school offering preschool classes up to grade 9, along with an after-school program and preschool. The school has about 260 children and students, one class per grade, and is well-located on Kristinagatan in Härnösand. The school has been operational since the school year 03/04, and our preschool program opened during the school year 06/07. We provide a continuous learning experience for children from one to sixteen years old. We are the small school with big opportunities. The school places a high value on its core values, where the words Safe - Caring - Humble permeate our collective work.

We aim to provide music education with good conditions, including access to instruments and other equipment, to meet the curriculum goals. Since autumn 2020, we have facilities including an auditorium that offers great opportunities for performances and concerts. Regarding digitalization, we have a well-developed network and a functional management system. Students have good access to iPads.

We are now looking for a licensed and dedicated music teacher who wants to inspire and support our students in their development in the subject of music. As a teacher at Kastellskolan, you will be responsible for planning, teaching, and evaluating your instruction. You will be accountable for the quality of education and support students in their social and academic development. The position involves teaching grades 4-9.

As a teacher, you are creative and have a good ability to adapt your teaching to the needs and levels of the students. You are present in your interactions with students and work to build trusting relationships. You are a communicative and engaging person who can create a positive and inspiring learning environment for the students.

The position is approximately 50% and will be filled in August 2025, pending necessary decisions. We conduct interviews on an ongoing basis.
