Do you want to help create the leisure center of the future? We at Rödsta School are looking for 2 inspiring and engaged recreational teachers who want to help build and shape our leisure activities. Are you an engaged recreational teacher who is passionate about creating a meaningful and developing leisure program? Then you might be just the person we are looking for!

Rödsta School is located on Ärtriksvägen, near Sollefteå Hospital. About 100 students attend the school from preschool to grade 3. Together, we work to ensure that all students have the conditions to develop as far as possible, and from the start, we focus on early interventions! In the next school year, we will also prioritize and develop our reading promotion work both during school hours and in the leisure center.

The outdoor environment consists of a large green area with space for football, other sports, and various forms of play. With us, preparation time between different tasks is a given. As a recreational teacher, your planning time is scheduled during school hours, both individual and joint planning time within the work team. You will be part of a team of four recreational teachers, and we have a total of 13 employees at the school.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

You want to make a difference for our students by believing in their abilities and encouraging creativity and curiosity. You will show and make it clear to each student that they can succeed in both big and small ways throughout the day. During the school day, you will be present as a collaborative recreational teacher.

Together with the work team, you will be responsible for planning and implementing teaching based on the curriculum for leisure centers. You will lead and develop the educational work and create the best possible conditions for each student. Additionally, your work will involve continuing to contribute to making Rödsta School and the leisure center a place where every student wants to be, thrive, and develop to reach their full potential.

In the afternoons, four recreational teachers/educators work (2 full-time positions and 2 part-time positions). In the afternoons, the leisure center conducts educational activities based on the curriculum for leisure centers part 4.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is a licensed recreational teacher, has a positive outlook, and believes in people. Understanding the value of relationships with both students and guardians as well as colleagues is likely your greatest attribute. Furthermore, you are a skilled and engaged recreational teacher who prioritizes the operations of the leisure center. Working inclusively and offering our students accessible learning environments is a given for us, meaning we always strive for teaching where all students are given the opportunity to feel safe, participate, and succeed based on their needs.
