About the Workplace

The Meal Unit operates 18 of the municipality's kitchens in schools and preschools as well as the student café at Fridegårdsgymnasiet.

Our kitchens prepare approximately 4000 meals daily. Sustainability in all aspects permeates the unit's work, for example, through efforts to reduce food waste and increase the proportion of plant-based meals. We prepare our meals with Swedish meat and purchase a large part of organic ingredients.

We are now looking for substitutes who can step in during the absence of regular staff. As a substitute, you will receive a good introduction to continued work within public meals.

Your Tasks

The tasks include cooking, serving, and dishwashing in the municipality's kitchens as well as serving and cash handling at Fridegårds Café. You have the opportunity to work in different kitchens and in various operations. As a substitute with us, you may work alone or in a team. We are passionate about service, and it is important that you are too; we always want to provide our guests with the best dining experience! The work is scheduled during daytime on weekdays without weekends.

Qualifications

We are looking for you with the following qualifications:

• Interest in food, meals, and service
• Self-driven, flexible, and solution-oriented when unforeseen events occur
• Ability to express yourself in Swedish, both spoken and written, to avoid misunderstandings regarding special diets, allergies, and food safety.

Meritorious:

• Culinary education or ongoing culinary education
