About Passalen

Passalen is a non-profit association working for a more inclusive society that sees the potential in every child. We create inclusion for children and young people with functional variations who need support organizing their leisure time, finding a friend, or trying out holiday jobs. We also run activities that promote meetings between people.

Passalen is covered by a collective agreement and operates in several locations across Sweden. As an employee here, you will develop and learn on the job while contributing to a more inclusive and socially sustainable society.

About Jubileumsparken

Jubileumsparken is located in Frihamnen, Gothenburg. Here you can visit the harbor bath, try sailing, canoeing, or visit the sauna. In the summer of 2023, a greener and larger park with more pools opened, and in 2024, the popular sauna was reopened.

Jubileumsparken is run by the Passalen association through an IOP (Ideological Public Partnership) between Passalen and the City of Gothenburg. Together with the City of Gothenburg, we are taking on the challenge of making Jubileumsparken an open and inclusive meeting place where everyone feels welcome.

About the Sailing Instructor Position

As a sailing instructor, you will help park visitors sail in our access dinghies. An access dinghy is designed so that everyone can sail in it – it is easy to sail and difficult to capsize.

During the autumn, we run our school sailing program where city school classes come to the park to learn how to sail.

You will, together with a sailing team, welcome the classes, show them how sailing works, assist them, and be responsible for safety while they are there.

Examples of Duties

  • Rig and unrig boats
  • Instruct children and adults in sailing
  • Drive a motorboat and ensure safe sailing activities
  • Clean and maintain the park

No prior experience is required; you will learn on the job. We are primarily looking for staff who can work during daytime hours.

About You

We are looking for someone who enjoys working outdoors in all weather conditions, likes to collaborate, and is eager to learn new things.

Previous sailing experience is meritorious but not a requirement. You will receive introductory training and learn on the job.

Since sailing is a water activity, you must be able to swim at least 200 meters, including 50 meters on your back. This will be checked before employment begins.

The most important thing is that you are curious and willing to learn. The work period is August–September.

As Jubileumsparken is a public meeting place, we welcome all applications. A key priority for us is having a good mix of employees. We place great emphasis on personal suitability. For this position, you cannot submit a CV; instead, please fill out the application form as thoroughly as possible.

Meritorious Qualifications

  • Experience with sailing
  • Experience driving motorboats
  • Experience working with children and young people
  • First aid training (CPR)
  • Availability to work the entire period

Before the season starts, you will receive training together with our other staff.

We look forward to receiving your application! Interviews are conducted on a rolling basis.

Open to All
We focus on your competence, not your other prerequisites. We are open to adapting the role or workplace to your needs.
