Care Assistant (Temporary Position) – Tolsjö Elderly Care Home
About the Job
We are looking for you who want a stimulating and developing job. As a care assistant at Tolsjö Elderly Care Home, you will have a varied job involving many contacts. Tolsjö Elderly Care Home is located about a mile outside of Lidköping in the Tolsjö community and is one of our rural elderly care homes. Tolsjö Elderly Care Home consists of four units: Naven, Spårön, Lindön, and Klitt, with a total of 40 apartments.
We are now looking for a colleague who wants to work with us and be part of our team at Tolsjö Elderly Care Home.
Job Responsibilities
As a care assistant with us, you contribute to good care and support for the residents in their homes. You will work with care adapted to the individual's needs. This can include social and physical activities, both individually and in groups. In your work, you help the resident with health and medical care interventions as well as rehabilitative interventions as prescribed by nurses, physiotherapists, and occupational therapists.
As a care assistant, you also work with case management where you have special responsibility for one or more individuals, and where you create good relationships with colleagues, the individual, and their relatives. Your work includes ongoing documentation and responsibility for drawing up, following up, and revising implementation plans.
Who are you?
We are looking for you who take responsibility for your tasks with the resident's best interest in focus and who are keen on completing the work you have started. As a person, you have the ability to take initiative and create trusting relationships based on care and empathy. You work independently and have good teamwork skills as you actively participate in team work.
Requirements:
- To be employed as a care assistant, you must be able to show the employer proof of a protected professional title for care assistants from the National Board of Health and Welfare, or alternatively a certificate from a previous employer confirming that you had a permanent position as a care assistant on July 1, 2023.
- Proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written, as well as good reading comprehension.
- Basic digital competence.
Merits:
- Care and Nursing College Diploma.
- Experience in similar work and/or education in dementia care.
- Experience with documentation.
Police Certificate (Background Check)
Before being offered employment, you as a candidate are required to present an extract from the criminal record register for work in any of the following areas; school or preschool, work with children in other activities than school and childcare, work with children according to LSS, work in or in connection with HVB homes, work with the elderly or persons with disabilities. You order the extract via the Police website. The extract must be presented before employment can begin.
Conditions
We are looking for care assistants for temporary positions. Possibility of extension may exist.
You will work scheduled hours such as day, evening, weekend.
Start date for the position is by agreement.
Your employment will be within Social Welfare of Lidköping Municipality, with placement at Tolsjö Elderly Care Home, which means that you may work in other units.
Tolsjö Elderly Care Home is located outside central Lidköping. Therefore, we assume that you have a driver's license and access to a car, so that you can commute to and from work on your own as bus connections are limited.
Great importance is attached to personal suitability.
