About the Operations
The Swedish Armed Forces are conducting extensive change work to digitize and transform operations. As part of this work, a new program department will be established at the Defence Staff's Cyber Unit. The program department will be responsible for driving larger programs and projects aimed at creating conditions for, and driving the digitalization of the Swedish Armed Forces' operations.
Main Responsibilities
In the role of Project Coordinator within the department, your main tasks will include:
- Supporting investigations and preparing decision-making materials for senior management
- Assisting in development projects
- Monitoring and evaluating the results of various initiatives
- Environmental scanning (new technologies, digital trends, and AI development)
- Identifying needs for change and development
Additionally, you will support the department's tasks and represent the Program Department. Contacts are made both externally with other authorities and internally within the Swedish Armed Forces.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
- You have a current academic degree in Systems Science, or equivalent education assessed by the Swedish Armed Forces as equivalent
- Good understanding of system development, project management, and business strategies
- You have a good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in both Swedish and English
Meritorious
Current experience of:
- Corresponding tasks in a larger organization
- Work in a politically governed organization
- Change work and process development within IT or technology-intensive operations
- Environmental scanning in the area
Personal Qualities
We are looking for you who are a recent graduate with possibly a few years of work experience. The important thing is that you have a great interest and strive for career development within the cyber area. You see the big picture and work independently, while also thriving in close collaboration with others and putting the team before the individual.
You are unpretentious, take initiative, and drive issues forward in a structured manner. Periodically, the workload is high and timeframes are short, which requires you to be flexible, meticulous, and have a good ability to prioritize.

The position is civilian and is located at the Swedish Armed Forces Headquarters in Stockholm.
Start date: By agreement.
Employment type: Fixed-term contract (probationary/acting) full-time for 2 years.
Tests will be conducted during the recruitment process.

Information about the recruiting unit: The Chief of Defence and the Director General are located at the Headquarters. The Headquarters has approximately 1,000 employees – both professional officers and civilian experts. As of 2023-01-01, the Headquarters consists of the Defence Staff, the Operations Command, the Military Intelligence and Security Service, as well as the Headquarters' Staff Department and independent supervision units. Employment with us entails placement in a security class. Swedish citizenship is usually required. Security clearance with register check will be conducted prior to employment according to Chapter 3 of the Security Protection Act. Employment entails an obligation to be war-placed.
