Description
As an employee in Gislaved Municipality, you are a co-creator at your workplace. Group Housing Lästgränd is located in Gislaved. The operation is intended for people with disabilities and care needs. The residents of the group housing have decisions regarding support under the Support and Service Act for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments (LSS).
Working hours are scheduled during days, evenings, and weekends.
Job Responsibilities
Together with other employees, you work to make daily life meaningful, clear, and rich in content for the residents. You will support and guide the users in personal care, meals, medication management, household maintenance, social contacts, and communication.
An important part of the job is to stimulate and motivate the users to develop their abilities and to create opportunities for an active and meaningful leisure time, so they can live as others do based on their conditions. You adapt the environment according to the users' needs and prerequisites. The work is based on individual implementation plans.
The job responsibilities also include IT-based documentation and administration, as well as delegated health and medical care tasks.
Work tools used include: PFA (Pedagogical Approach and Working Method), communication aids, visual supports, sensory stimulation, and more.
Qualifications
Support Pedagogue: Support Pedagogue education with a focus on the disability area.
Support Assistant: Care and Nursing Programme with a focus on psychiatry or the disability area, or the Child and Youth Programme with a focus on social or pedagogical work.
Alternatively: Behavioral scientist, treatment pedagogue, social pedagogue, or other education that the employer deems equivalent.
Your role as a colleague is deeply linked to your ability to collaborate and participate in the development of yourself and the operation. You treat everyone with a high level of service, kindness, and quality through a customer and service focus. You take responsibility for participating in operational issues and are solution-oriented.

Experience regarding the target group is required for the position, as well as the ability to swim and no allergy to chlorine.
We apply register checks (extract from the criminal record) as a form of suitability assessment for all those offered employment in operations where there is direct and regular contact with children and young people.
