- Engaged PE Teacher Wanted at Ljunghaga School in Holsljunga
Ljunghaga School in Holsljunga is looking for an engaged PE teacher who wants to inspire our students with joy in movement, health, and community!
About the Job
Ljunghaga School is a small F–6 school located in a rural and very peaceful environment, where the proximity to nature permeates the entire operation. We work in small student groups, which creates a warm and family-like atmosphere and provides excellent opportunities to see each student individually and build secure relationships.
The school's pedagogical focus emphasizes creativity, variety, and learning that sparks curiosity and desire. Here, students are encouraged to explore, try, and think for themselves — and as a teacher, you have the space to work practically, thematically, and imaginatively to stimulate their joy of discovery.
We base our work on analog methods, using digital tools sparingly and with a clear purpose. The school's surroundings — forests, meadows, lakes, and farm environments — offer great opportunities for outdoor pedagogy and realistic teaching.
The team works in close and continuous collaboration, placing great value on cooperation skills and a willingness to contribute to the whole. All adults at the school share a common responsibility for meeting students' needs for belonging, security, and appreciation. Therefore, we are looking for you who thrive in an operation where relationships, collaboration, and shared responsibility are at the center.
Responsibilities
- Teach according to the curriculum, course plans, and timetables
- Plan, implement, and follow up on teaching with a focus on analog methods
- Use the school's outdoor environment as a natural part of teaching

- Ability to work in a structured and relationship-building manner, as well as in close collaboration with colleagues and guardians

We are looking for you who
- want to create varied and inclusive teaching, both indoors and outdoors
- can motivate and engage students with different needs and prerequisites
- see movement as a key to both learning and well-being
Personal Attributes
We are looking for someone who is secure, responsible, and has a clear interest in creative and analog teaching methods. You enjoy working on a smaller scale, close to nature, and value close collaboration within the team.
