Develop e-commerce for several of Sweden's largest grocery chains using serverless and modern backend solutions at Axfood IT in Stockholm

As a backend developer at Axfood IT, you will become part of the team that develops and enhances solutions within e-commerce and digital customer experiences for brands such as Willys, Hemköp, and Snabbgross. Here, you work with AWS, serverless, and modern integration solutions in an environment where new functionality is built in parallel with the modernization of parts of our existing landscape for the future. What you will do here

The team is responsible for backend development within Axfood's e-commerce and digital customer experiences, building and enhancing services used by several of Axfood's companies. We define our infrastructure in AWS as code, primarily using AWS CDK, which is version-controlled in Git and deployed via shared pipelines.

We work closely with the business, which means you will not only encounter technical questions but also need to understand the context behind them. Among other things, you will:

• Develop and enhance backend solutions in AWS
• Work with serverless architecture and asynchronous flows
• Build APIs and integrations between different systems and services
• Participate in technical discussions regarding architecture, design, and development patterns

Your team and workplace

You will become part of a smaller AWS team working towards e-commerce and Axfood's digital customer experiences. The team currently consists of both senior and more junior developers.

We work according to a hybrid policy, with remote work when it suits the tasks and the team's deliverables, and we meet most days of the week at the office at Torsplan.

About you

We believe you have worked as a developer for a few years and have gathered experiences that have made you confident in both your craft and your technical choices. You thrive in environments where everything is not predefined from the start and where the solution is not always obvious.

To succeed in the role, we believe you have:

• Experience with backend development in AWS
• Experience with serverless architecture and asynchronous flows
• A good understanding of APIs, integrations, and distributed systems
• The ability to take responsibility for both the solution and its implementation
• Good communication skills in Swedish and English
