What you will do here

The team currently consists of a system architect, a delivery lead, and several developers. Our shared mission is to design and develop solutions in AWS for all of Axfood's brands. We are also building an AWS competence network to support both our developer colleagues and Axfood IT as a whole in their cloud journey. You will work closely with the sister teams Cloud Centre of Excellence, which serves as an overarching governance unit for AWS solutions, and CloudOps, which operates and owns the platform.

We define our AWS infrastructure as code, primarily using SST, but also Terraform and CDK. The code is version-controlled in Bitbucket and deployed via Bitbucket Pipelines. As a developer, this means you will:

• Develop new solutions with a focus on serverless technology. The languages and frameworks in our development environment are primarily JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Further develop and improve the best practices that have emerged over the years regarding code quality, testing, security, and lifecycle management.
• Continue to explore how AI and automation can streamline the development work throughout the entire development lifecycle.
• Work closely with your colleagues in pair programming, coaching, and knowledge sharing.

Your team and workplace

You belong to our AWS grouping within the Central System Development group. We work on several parallel projects where the task dictates the working style and collaboration. This involves regular stand-ups, tasks described and coordinated in Jira, and documentation in Confluence.

Here you will meet engaged, curious, and enthusiastic colleagues with a shared responsibility for building really good solutions. We work according to a hybrid policy, with remote work when it suits the tasks and team deliveries, and we meet most days of the week at the office near Torsplan.

About you

You have a background in backend development in AWS and are curious about, or already working with, serverless technology. You have experience with JavaScript/TypeScript. The number of years is less important, but you have become confident in the craft of development and have been involved in creating system designs and solution proposals. You appreciate working in a team where you can contribute experience, perspectives, and good working methods, while continuing to develop together with others.

You are curious about how new tools and working methods can make development easier, safer, and more efficient. You enjoy understanding how technology contributes to the business and are motivated by developing solutions used in business-critical processes.

Our working languages are Swedish and English, and we are looking for someone who is comfortable using both languages in their work.

As a person and colleague, you have good communication skills and thrive in collaborating with others, both within and outside your immediate team. You have the ability to see both the details and the big picture, and translate ideas into solutions that work in practice.
