At the Medicine Clinic, Diabetes, we work together for the patient with the patient

At our Diabetes Clinic, podiatrists, dietitians, social workers, secretaries, nurses, nursing assistants, and doctors work together in a team. Our goal is for patients to maintain a good quality of life with as few complications as possible. Patients should be given the right prerequisites to manage their self-care and handle their diabetes effectively. This means meeting the patient's need for assistive devices to make daily life function optimally. Here, we always ensure that the patient receives individualized care and a warm welcome. We are very proud of our high competence and specialist knowledge, which we maintain through continuous learning.

Job Description

Responsibilities include, for example:

• ensuring that assistive devices are used correctly
• interpreting and analyzing glucose curves
• adjusting insulin doses and pump settings
• prescribing assistive devices
• coordinating routine check-ups

The focus is on the patient's daily care. You will have your own patient clinic (PAS) but will also provide consultation services to inpatients at Sahlgrenska University Hospital.

We work in the medical record system Melior and Elvis, which is our patient administrative system. We conduct many digital care meetings, working in Vård och Hälsa. As we have a large number of patients with insulin pumps and CGMs, we also work with Glooko, Libreview, and CareLink Clinic, as well as providing individual and group patient education.

Your primary responsibility as a nurse here will be patients with type 1 diabetes.

About You

We are looking for you who are a registered nurse with further education in diabetes (at least 15 higher education credits) or alternatively a registered nurse with a specialist nurse degree in diabetes. We would appreciate it if you have experience working at an outpatient clinic.

You help patients find technical assistive devices that make daily life easier. It is important that you are interested in and up-to-date with the technical equipment.

You need to have good knowledge of data and technology and be technically interested, as the technology within diabetes care is constantly updated.
