Description

University Services is Umeå University's service organization, designed to simplify daily life on campus for employees, students, and visitors. We achieve this by providing service and support, managing bookable teaching spaces and meeting rooms, cleaning services, parcel and mail handling, access cards/UmU cards, post handling, switchboard and telephony, as well as securing examination venues. We also offer services in printing, laboratory dishwashing, and pantry services.

Responsibilities

As a Service Associate, you will work with cleaning services within the support provided across the approximately 20 buildings where Umeå University operates. Your workday will be planned based on specific customer needs and in collaboration with the work group in each respective building.

As a person, you are helpful, positive, perform your tasks with quality, and take pride in your professional role. You can work independently, identify what needs to be done, feel confident in making personal contact, and know when and how to do so appropriately. You are flexible and can prioritize tasks either independently or together with your work group.

Qualifications

Good knowledge of Swedish (speaking, reading, writing) and English (speaking).

Meritorious

• Experience in cleaning services.
• Cleaning service training.

Terms of Employment

The position is an intermittent employment with an hourly wage over a period of 11 months. This type of intermittent employment means that you may be offered work on a few short-term occasions during the specified period.

The employment periods are time-limited in accordance with Section 5, Paragraph 1 of the Employment Protection Act. Being on call in this manner means that you can accept or decline each opportunity to work, and a new employment relationship begins with each individual instance you work.
