Birka Gotland is the Baltic Sea's new entertainment cruise ship, offering recreation and experiences for modern travelers. The vessel is operated by Gotland Alandia Cruises, established in 2023 as a joint venture between Viking Line and Gotlandsbolaget. From spring 2024, Birka Gotland offers cruises and regular routes between Stockholm, Mariehamn, and Visby.

We are seeking substitute masseurs for our Archipelago Spa!

Wellness is a key and highly sought-after part of the cruise experience for our guests, where spa treatments and relaxation by the pool are greatly appreciated.

To our substitute staff pool, we are looking for you who are service-oriented, positive, and flexible, with a passion for delivering first-class service. You communicate easily with people, take responsibility, and show initiative.

Working as a substitute on Birka Gotland:

• A shift on board varies between 1–14 consecutive cruises.
• We offer shifts based on need, both with short notice and with advance planning.
• Safety duties are included in all roles.
• Work clothes and all meals on board are provided. You will have your own cabin, as well as access to the staff gym and sauna.

Massage Therapist:

You have professional experience within the industry and relevant work history.

Qualifications that would be an advantage include certification as a skincare therapist and prior experience in the maritime/cruise industry.

As a massage therapist in our spa department, you will perform spa treatments, massages, and facial treatments. If certified as a skincare therapist, you will also provide treatments according to our SPA menu. We maintain high standards in customer service and treatment execution. The role also includes rotating shifts at the spa reception, cash register duties, as well as recommending and selling Babor and Elemis products.
