About Us

The Speech Therapy Clinics in Region Sörmland are located across the region's three hospitals in Eskilstuna, Nyköping, and Katrineholm. Together, we form a county-wide unit offering a supportive work environment within a broad range of clinical activities. Our speech therapists work in both outpatient and inpatient settings, including neurorehabilitation and maternal/child health clinics. Each clinic operates independently, but we strive for equal care across the county by collaborating in regional diagnostic groups to establish consistent routines and working methods. The Speech Therapy Clinic is part of the County Clinic for Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) diseases, which also includes specialist physician clinics, nursing clinics, an administrative unit, and a hearing care clinic.

Mälarsjukhuset serves Eskilstuna and Strängnäs municipalities, with a catchment population of approximately 140,000 residents.

Your Responsibilities

We are looking for you who want to work in neuro-linguistics/swallowing therapy, primarily on hospital wards. In addition to rehabilitating stroke patients, you will visit various departments across the hospital, mainly to conduct swallowing assessments. Competence in performing fiberoptic endoscopic evaluation of swallowing (FEES) is desirable. You will be based at the Speech Therapy Clinic, where your colleagues and workplace are located. Part of your work will also involve receiving patients at the clinic.

You will work independently, but we place great emphasis on effective collaboration with speech therapy colleagues and other healthcare units.

Employment Type

Fixed-term contract (temporary position). Start date according to agreement.
