Our Employment Offer
As our current foot care specialist is moving on to further studies, we are looking for you who are a trained foot care specialist and wish to work at a well-functioning primary care center in southern Stockholm.
Vendelsö Primary Care Center has just over 13,200 registered patients and is nicely located near Tyresta National Park, yet only about 30 minutes from Gullmarsplan by bus or approximately one hour from T-centralen.
At Vendelsö Primary Care Center, we have a stable team of approximately 40 employees, where you will be part of our reception team including district nurses and doctors. Additionally, we have a large and well-managed home care service, a reliable group of assistant nurses, a psychosocial group consisting of three psychologists and a counselor, as well as a team of administrators/medical secretaries who are the hub and face of the center.
We have an open climate and support each other with the goal of ensuring a reasonable workload for everyone.

Job Description
All typical tasks for a medical foot care specialist at a primary care center.
Your duties involve medical foot care according to the guidelines included in the agreement.
This includes, among other things, preventing and treating foot problems in people within the target group and maintaining good foot health. You will independently assess and treat individuals in the target groups based on referral instructions and perform foot status examinations according to the individual's needs. The work requires broad competence and independence.
Qualifications
Education as an assistant nurse according to the older curriculum, the three-year nursing and care program in upper secondary school, or equivalent education.
A foot therapist who has had an authorization agreement since 2008 and has worked for at least four years prior to that under an agreement with Region Stockholm does not need to meet this requirement.
Education as a foot therapist/foot care specialist (minimum 20 weeks of education) or a one-year post-secondary education as a foot therapist/foot care specialist or equivalent.
Completed basic and advanced course in foot care therapy in diabetes care at APC (Academic Primary Care Center, diabetes) or equivalent education.
Driver's license, as we assist some of our home care patients with foot care at home.
Previous experience with the journal system Take Care.
Employment Type:
Temporary position, full-time (100%). Start date 2026-09-01 or as agreed.

In patient-proximity work within Stockholm County Council (SLSO):
- A register check is applied before the decision on employment according to SLSO's overarching guidelines for register checks upon employment.
- Employees who will have patient contact must undergo a new employment health examination, according to current directives, which takes place through occupational health services before employment.
- In addition to a Swedish professional license, good knowledge of the Swedish language corresponding to level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) is required. The same requirement is guiding for non-licensed staff with patient contact.
