About Us

The physiotherapy clinic at Mälarsjukhuset provides rehabilitation in both outpatient and inpatient care. We are now looking for a physiotherapist for our inpatient wards. The work in inpatient care is rewarding but at times demanding, as we play a crucial role in the discharge process. The physiotherapy group operates from shared premises that we share with occupational therapists and rehabilitation nursing assistants. This ensures there are always colleagues nearby to ask questions, reflect with, get help from, or provide help in the daily work.

Your Responsibilities

The discharge process begins the moment a patient is admitted to the ward. Sometimes only medical needs need to be met, but often a physiotherapeutic assessment and intervention are also required. You will be based in our premises where inpatient paramedical staff are gathered, but your primary placement will be on one or several wards where you meet patients to assess the need for rehabilitative measures and assistive devices.

You work independently and take responsibility for your tasks in a structured manner. At the same time, you collaborate closely with occupational therapists, rehabilitation nursing assistants, the ward team, patients and their relatives, as well as other healthcare providers.

At our clinic, we help each other across ward boundaries within what is called "coverage groups," which means you will have the opportunity to gain insight into and experience working on wards other than your primary placement.

Your Qualifications

You are a licensed physiotherapist. Since home visits may occur, a B driver's license is desirable.
