Occupational Therapist for Inpatient Care at Mälarsjukhuset

About Us
The Occupational Therapy Clinic at Mälarsjukhuset provides rehabilitation in both outpatient and inpatient care. We are now looking for an Occupational Therapist to join our inpatient team. Working in inpatient care is rewarding but can sometimes be demanding, as we play a crucial role in the discharge process. The occupational therapy group operates from shared facilities with physiotherapists and rehabilitation assistants. This setup ensures that colleagues are always nearby to answer questions, reflect on cases, offer help, or receive assistance in daily work.

Your Responsibilities

The discharge process begins the moment a patient is admitted to a ward. While some patients only require medical attention, many also need occupational therapy assessment and intervention. You will be based in our shared facilities but will have a primary placement on a specific ward where you meet patients to assess their need for rehabilitation measures and assistive devices. In addition to your primary placement, you will be part of a coverage group consisting of a smaller number of occupational therapy colleagues, with whom you will, for example, plan holidays. You work independently and take responsibility for your tasks in a structured manner. At the same time, you collaborate closely with physiotherapists, the ward team, patients, their relatives, and other healthcare providers.

Your Qualifications

  • You are a licensed Occupational Therapist.
  • A valid driver's license (Category B) is desirable, as home visits may occur.
  • We place great emphasis on personal qualities.

Employment Terms

Permanent position with a start date to be agreed upon.
