Service Staff for The Grand Social in Gävle

It’s not just the food the guest remembers. It’s how the evening felt. It’s the moment you walk in.

On Drottninggatan 23, The Grand Social is opening — Gävle’s new living room for long evenings, good food, a bar, darts, shuffleboard, karaoke, and an atmosphere that grows as the night gets later.

We are looking for someone who enjoys people, pace, and energetic evenings. You are the person who greets the guest, reads the table, tops up the drinks, advises on what to eat and drink, and perhaps which game to book next. You notice when a table wants peace and quiet — and when they want the evening to lift off.

This is not a job where you just “take orders”. You are part of creating the evening.

Here, you move between food, drinks, and experiences. One moment you are serving tapas, the next you are helping a group get started with darts or karaoke. If you can also mix simple cocktails, pour a nice beer, or help out in the bar when needed, that is a big plus.

The pace will be high. The evenings can get late. The music rises, tables fill up, and guests stay longer than they planned. You thrive in it — and get better when there is a lot happening around you.

How we reward you

If you do a good job, it should be noticeable. In addition to salary, we are introducing profit sharing linked to how the restaurant performs. Those who help build the evening should also feel the results.

The role involves among other things:

• Taking care of guests across the entire floor — food, drinks, and games
• Creating atmosphere and making guests feel seen
• Serving quickly, stylishly, and warmly even when the pace is high
• Keeping track of your tables, your section, and the whole room
• Advising guests on food, drinks, games, and the evening's setup
• Helping out in the bar when needed, preferably with simple drinks
• Carrying the evening from the first guest to the last song

• Social, quick, and warm
• Comfortable with people and good at reading situations
• At ease with high pace, music, energy, and late evenings
• A team player who helps out where needed
• Curious about food, drinks, service, and experiences
• Eager to help shape something new from the start

Experience from a restaurant, bar, or café is meritorious, but the right person is most important. Having bar experience or being able to mix simple drinks is an extra plus.
