Care Assistant/Nurse Aide for Home Care Gnesta Landet

The position is located within the Social Services Administration, which works to offer residents of Gnesta Municipality good and accessible services based on individual needs. We are responsible for the municipality's care for individuals and families, the elderly, people with disabilities, municipal health care, as well as labor market, integration, and adult education. The administration works on behalf of the Social Committee.

Job Responsibilities

We are now looking for more nurse aides/care assistants for monthly employment with Home Care Gnesta Landet, who together with us want to provide our care recipients in the elderly care sector with the best possible care and support.

Working in home care means that you support and assist the care recipient in their own home based on approved services. Your duties include practical help with personal hygiene, support during meals, activities, laundry, cleaning, shopping, accompaniment to appointments such as doctor visits, social documentation, and more.

You will also perform health and medical tasks after instruction and delegation from a nurse, for example, administering insulin and medication. As a nurse aide/care assistant in home care, you will have a varied job where you contribute to a dignified and meaningful life.

Working hours are varied and may include days, evenings, nights, and weekends.

Qualifications

We value appropriate care training, preferably as a nurse aide. You need to have a good manner of dealing with people, the ability to give support and help, and be genuinely thoughtful, engaged, and responsible in your work.

You must be at least 18 years old and possess good Swedish language skills in both speech and writing. Since social documentation is done digitally, computer literacy and the ability to handle digital tools are also necessary.

As Home Care Gnesta Landet has many care recipients in rural areas and the outskirts of Gnesta, a Category B driver's license is required, although walking and cycling trips also occur.

Employment Terms

  • Employment Type: Fixed-term employment (monthly contract).
  • Duration: 6 months or longer.
  • Start Date: 2026-09-01
  • End Date: 2027-08-31
