Region Sörmland operates its own emergency dispatch center together with the Regions of Uppsala, Värmland, and Västmanland. In Region Sörmland, the dispatch center belongs to the ambulance organization.

Your Responsibilities

Work as an ambulance care assistant, as part of a team with a nurse or a specialized nurse. Together, you assess, treat, and transport patients to the appropriate level of care.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for driven, positive assistant nurses with further education in ambulance care, or alternatively, with many years of practical experience in the ambulance care profession. Documented experience from ambulance service for at least 1 year and an emergency driving license are required.

You should be proactive, solution-focused, and passionate about meeting the patient where they are.

You must have a certified education as an assistant nurse with the courses; Health and Medical Care Course 1 and 2 (formerly Emergency Care). In addition to your grades as an assistant nurse, you need a certificate of your professional license as an assistant nurse from the National Board of Health and Welfare, or a certificate stating that you were employed indefinitely as an assistant nurse on July 1, 2023. We place great emphasis on personal qualities such as clear communication, stability, and the ability to build trust.

The tasks require that you master the Swedish language fully in both speech and writing and have good knowledge of English. Multilingualism is an advantage.
Personal suitability is given great weight.

Employment Requirements

Good physical condition is expected as heavy lifting is common in the work.
The employment interview includes physical tests in the form of carrying tests, endurance, and strength, as well as a written certificate of swimming ability for 200 meters. You must have good driving experience (Class B license for at least 3 years) and a Class B license issued before July 1, 1996, or alternatively, Class C/C1 license.
