About Us
Sörmland Ambulance Care is at the forefront of Swedish ambulance services, and we are constantly developing new solutions for better care and working conditions. Region Sörmland operates the emergency call center jointly with the Regions of Uppsala and Västmanland. In Region Sörmland, the call center is part of the ambulance organization.
Your Responsibilities
Service as a nurse/specialist nurse in an ambulance, working in a team with an ambulance care assistant or another nurse. You will work with assessments, prioritizations, treatments, and in some cases referrals to other levels of care.
Your Qualifications
We are looking for registered nurses with basic and/or further education in prehospital care, primarily within prehospital or anesthesia care, but all further education is meritorious and of interest. At least one year of experience from an acute medical unit or other equivalent experience is required. You should be proactive, solution-focused, and passionate about meeting the patient where they are.
We place great emphasis on personal qualities such as clear communication, collaboration, and the ability to build trust.
The duties require that you master the Swedish language fully in both speech and writing and have good knowledge of English. Multilingualism is meritorious. Great weight is placed on personal suitability.
Employment Requirements
- Good physical condition is assumed as heavy lifting often occurs in the work.
- The employment process includes physical tests in the form of carrying tests, endurance, and strength, as well as a written certificate of swimming ability for 200 meters.
- You must have good driving experience and a Class B driver's license for at least 3 years. Class C/C1 driver's license is desirable but not required; a small driving test is also applied during the employment process.
Employment Type
We offer you a permanent position or a fixed-term contract with start date as agreed. Day, night, and weekend shifts are included.
