In the Sector for Work and Individual, we organize individual and family services, labor market initiatives, support for disabilities, integration, and adult education.

Do you want to help create opportunities for people to develop and move closer to work and self-sufficiency?

The Labor Market and Development Unit is looking for a Work Coach who wants to help launch a new service group within the municipality's labor market activities.

The unit consists of several operations that support people on their journey toward studies, work, and self-sufficiency. These include, among other things, economic assistance, adult education, integration, youth coaching, social psychiatric employment, and internal labor market initiatives.

Responsibilities

As a Work Coach, you are responsible for leading and coaching participants in the service group. You plan and distribute tasks and create conditions for participants to develop their work capacity and skills.

You receive assignments from the municipality's operations and carry them out together with the participants. Assignments may include, for example:

• Gardening and outdoor environment work
• Painting and simple carpentry
• Litter picking and other service tasks
• Practical tasks within the municipality's operations
• Social assignments, such as reading aloud to the elderly

The work takes place both indoors and outdoors and involves many points of contact within the municipality. You will be part of the working group for the internal labor market.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with education in social work or other education that the employer deems suitable.

You are someone who enjoys practical work and likes combining coaching people with practical tasks. You feel confident meeting people with different backgrounds, conditions, and needs.

To succeed in the role, we see that you:

• Are handy and enjoy practical work
• Have good collaboration skills
• Can motivate, support, and guide others
• Have a good attitude and a clear service focus
• Can express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing
• Are computer literate and can document your work

Merits

It is an advantage if you have:

• Experience from labor market activities
• Training in Motivational Interviewing (MI)
• Experience with or training in the BIP method
• Experience with social documentation

Conditions

• A Category B driver's license is required.
• A certificate of good conduct (extract from the criminal record) will be requested before employment.
