Shark Recruitment is looking for a Transport Manager for a well-established, family-owned contracting company in the Mälaren region, just outside Strängnäs. The company has been around for over 30 years and works with earthworks, transport, winter maintenance, and recycling for private individuals, businesses, and municipalities. A stable team with a modern fleet of machinery and short decision-making paths.

This is a temp-to-perm position – you start as a consultant with the goal of transitioning into a permanent role with the client.

The Role

As a Transport Manager, you are responsible for the daily planning and management of the vehicle fleet, consisting of nine trucks, as well as machine transports related to excavators and other contracting activities. This is not a pure transport role: you coordinate transports in close collaboration with ongoing earth and infrastructure projects, which requires overview, flexibility, and quick reprioritization.

The role also has a clear sales dimension. You are a key contact point for customers, you identify needs, provide quick responses, and spot business opportunities in the daily flow.

Your Responsibilities

• Plan and lead the daily transport operations for nine trucks

• Coordinate transports with excavation and infrastructure projects as well as machine relocation

• Customer contact – receive orders, provide updates, and develop customer relationships

• Work in a digital transport management system

• Support drivers and colleagues, and jump in where needed

• Is sales-oriented and service-minded in customer contact

• Is a helpful team player who takes responsibility until the day's work is done

Working Hours

Full-time, 5 days a week:

Monday–Thursday 06:30–16:30, Friday 06:30–13:00
