Sperens Sjöfart AB operates and crews M/S Waxholm III for Strömma Turism och Sjöfart.

Due to a vacancy starting on August 1st, we are now looking for an experienced captain to strengthen our team and step in as needed.

M/S Waxholm III is a classic archipelago boat from 1903 that sails the Stockholm archipelago and Lake Mälaren. Our assignments primarily consist of charter traffic, Christmas dinner cruises, and the popular Thousand Islands Cruise – an 11-hour tour with stops at Kymmendö, Bullerö, and Sandhamn, among other places.

Requirements for the position:

Documented experience in archipelago traffic and excellent local knowledge of the Stockholm archipelago.
Licence: Master Mariner Class VI (inland waters) or higher.
Medical certificate for seafarers.
Basic Safety training or equivalent for inland waters.
CCM (Central Control Station) competence.
ROC (Radiotelephone Operator Certificate) or SRC (Short Range Certificate).

The position includes

The Thousand Islands Cruise on August 1st, as well as the opportunity for training prior to this. There is also the possibility of ad-hoc shifts, currently estimated at approximately 10 work shifts per year.
