Who are we?

Vida Hestra is part of the Vida Group, one of Sweden's largest players in the forestry and wood industry. We are a group company with approximately 1,800 employees and 27 production facilities throughout southern Sweden. We work with wood as a material, making us a sustainable and secure industry for the future.

Both women and men with various educations and backgrounds work with us. A common misconception about the sawmill industry is that it involves heavy physical labor, but we want to change that image! Heavy work is largely handled by automated machines, which requires staff to monitor and, to some extent, control the machine lines.

JOB DESCRIPTION

What does the role involve?

Demand for our products is high, and we are now looking for an additional planer mill operator for our team in Hestra. In the planer mill, work involves sorting, banding, plastic wrapping, and labeling. At our company, you work in a team where you rotate between different workstations, so good teamwork where everyone helps each other and pulls in the same direction is important to us. The position involves a two-shift system.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for an engaged and solution-oriented person who is accustomed to working in IT-based production systems and is meticulous about the final result. Above all, we value a positive attitude towards work and colleagues, as well as engagement in identifying opportunities and participating in daily improvement work. You thrive in organized environments, are receptive, and have good collaboration skills.

The position requires proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written.
