Do you want to make a difference for the children at Kålhagen Children's Residential Home? Then you might be the support pedagogue we are looking for.

We are a cohesive and professional team that collaborates with each other and other actors for the best development. We put our guests first. Their needs and wishes are the foundation of our work. Two children with NPD (Neurodevelopmental Disorders) diagnoses live with us. The children have extensive needs for pedagogical support and personal care.

In the role, you are expected to ensure the quality of operations with a focus on proven working methods and approaches in accordance with laws and guidelines. It is also important that you can inspire the work group to learning and development by motivating and engaging them.

You are part of a work team with support assistants and the unit manager, and you collaborate with nurses. There is also extensive collaboration with other professions and relatives. As a support pedagogue, you support our residents in daily life, including providing care, handling medication after delegation, and managing social documentation. Furthermore, you are responsible for the process regarding documentation, method, and quality development at the unit. As a support pedagogue, you have continuous contact and collaboration with other support pedagogues and method developers in the administration.

The work schedule includes day, evening, and weekend shifts. As a support pedagogue, you allocate part of your working time as pedagogical time. The remaining time is operational time in the field. We use Timecare Planning for operation-adapted and influenceable schedules.

You need to have work experience from working with people with physical and mental disabilities and be well-versed in AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication).

It is meritorious if you have previously worked with children and young people with disabilities. It is also meritorious if you have previously worked with TimeCare planning and hold a B-driver's license.

We are looking for someone who is attentive and open to understanding other people's needs, feelings, and opinions. You are receptive to what others say or express and show respect, consideration, and care in your interactions. You have a good understanding of how individuals absorb knowledge and their different prerequisites. You adapt the way you convey your message to the recipient and encourage dialogue, participation, and engagement.

Furthermore, you collaborate well with others by listening, showing interest, and respect. You understand the common mission and work to make it as good as possible.
