About the workplace

The workplace is primarily located at an LSS (Act concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments) residence in Svanesund. The residence is centrally located with proximity to the sea, forest, shops, beautiful walking paths, and public transport. Six people live at the facility, where the work group's task is to support these individuals by providing good living conditions based on each person's specific needs. We work to promote the residents' self-determination, participation, integrity, and equal rights in society.

Your responsibilities

The target group you will work with consists of individuals with various physical and mental functional variations.

The starting point is to support the users in their daily lives through qualified and individually adapted support in everyday activities. This involves varied tasks with a focus on motivation, support, and assistance with practical matters such as hygiene, cleaning, cooking, and other household chores. Staff also provide support to users during day activities, in their leisure time, and in their social lives. As staff, you work to promote the users' participation, independence, abilities, and skills in all respects.

A implementation plan is drawn up together with the user to determine how the support should be structured. The support measures should promote the user's integrity and participation and be carried out with respect for the user's self-determination. The user's needs should be at the center, and the person's views should be actively taken into account. The user should receive support and the right to decide over their life, as well as opportunities to develop their abilities as much as possible.

About you

We are looking for you who have a basic upper secondary education, equivalent to the Child and Youth Care or Care and Nursing programs with an emphasis on functional variations or psychiatry, or other education that the employer deems suitable. As a person, you are secure, stable, and find working with people meaningful. You should be able to work with a low-affective approach and have the ability to contribute to a secure and positive atmosphere both within the work group and among our users.

You take great responsibility in your work. You distinguish between the personal and professional and relate to situations in an adapted manner. You can discuss reflectively together with your colleagues and others you need to collaborate with, thereby creating a common approach based on each person's situation.

You take responsibility for your and the shared tasks with the best interests of the operation and users in focus. You show respect and consideration for those you meet in your professional role and create a good atmosphere in the meeting. By being interested and creating understanding for others, you work for a respectful work climate.

We would appreciate it if you had knowledge of low-affective interaction, PERMA, AKK (Augmentative and Alternative Communication), and an interest in digital aids.

The position requires good knowledge and experience of working with the target group.

Personal suitability is given great weight.

Other information:

Working hours/duration: Temporary position 100% until 2027-09-30 with possible extension. Working hours are scheduled for days, evenings, and every other weekend.

Salary: Individual salary setting.

Start date: By agreement.

Driver's license: B.
