About Us

In Sörmland, all dietitians are organized within a dietitian organization belonging to the county clinic Paramedicin Sörmland. Currently, there are approximately 45 dietitian colleagues in Sörmland. The primary care unit and the specialist care unit collaborate closely, which creates opportunities to change your role over time if desired.

The primary care dietitians' mission is to care for patients of all ages referred to us by the county's 31 health centers. Patient reception takes place at the health centers, where you work closely with other professions, promoting collaboration around patient care. Depending on the size of the health center, a dietitian may have a full-time position at a large center or a shared role across two smaller centers. In Sörmland, we have a well-developed network of dietitian colleagues who meet regularly, enjoy a strong sense of community, and are never more than a Teams link or phone call away.

We are now looking for a new colleague to join our primary care team, working in western Sörmland, i.e., Katrineholm, Flen, Malmköping, and Vingåker. If you are new to the role of a dietitian, there is an opportunity for introduction and supervision by experienced colleagues.

Your Responsibilities

Our work is based on evidence-based guidelines and an ethical code of conduct. We work according to the nutrition treatment process, which involves assessment, investigation, diagnosis, and treatment of nutrition-related problems, as well as documentation according to NCP (Nutrition Care Process). The role also includes assessing the need for and prescribing dietary supplements.

The work is varied, and you will meet patients of all ages. Patient contacts can take place individually at the clinic, via remote visits, or as group education. The dietitian may be part of a team with other professions at the health center, for example, in cases of lifestyle-related diagnoses. Training for health center staff, collaboration with child health services, and cooperation with municipal home care staff regarding patients with nutrition problems are also part of the role.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed dietitian, preferably with experience working in primary care. Good knowledge of the Swedish language is required in both speech and writing.

You should have an interest in working holistically with the patient alongside other professional groups, providing your expertise in nutrition. You are structured, self-initiative, and have strong collaboration skills.

Digital communication tools are used frequently, for example, for video visits. This means you need an interest in this technology and the willingness to learn if you are not already familiar with it.

Since travel may be required for the position, a B-class driver's license is desirable. We place great emphasis on personal suitability and flexibility.
