About Us

In Sörmland, all dietitians are organized in a dietitian organization belonging to the county clinic Paramedicin Sörmland. Currently, there are approximately 45 dietitian colleagues in Sörmland. The primary care unit and the specialist care unit collaborate closely, offering opportunities to change your role over time if desired.

The primary care dietitians' task is to care for patients of various ages referred to us by the county's 31 health centers. Patient reception takes place at the health center, where you work closely with other professions, promoting collaboration around patient care. Depending on the size of the health center, a dietitian has a full-time position at a large center or a shared position between two smaller ones. In Sörmland, we have a well-developed network of dietitian colleagues who meet regularly, enjoy good camaraderie, and are never further away than a team link or a phone call.

We are now looking for a new colleague to join the primary care team in northern Sörmland (Eskilstuna, Mariefred, and Strängnäs), with placement at health center(s) in Eskilstuna. Your Responsibilities

Our work is based on evidence-based guidelines and an ethical code of conduct. We work according to the nutrition treatment process, which involves assessment, investigation, diagnosis, and treatment of nutrition-related problems, as well as documentation according to NCP (Nutrition Care Process). The role also includes assessing the need for and prescribing dietary supplements.

The work is varied, and you will meet patients of all ages. Patient contacts may take place individually at the clinic, via remote visits, or as group education for patients with diagnoses such as IBS and diabetes. Dietitians may participate in teams with other professions at the health center, particularly for lifestyle-related diagnoses. Training for health center staff and collaboration with child health services are part of the role, as is cooperation with municipal home care staff regarding patients with nutrition problems.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed dietitian, preferably with experience in primary care. Good knowledge of the Swedish language is required in both speech and writing. You should have an interest in working with the whole picture of the patient together with other professional groups, while providing nutritional expertise. You are structured, self-initiating, and have good collaboration skills.

Digital communication technology is frequently used, for example, for video visits, meaning you need an interest in this and a willingness to learn new things if you are not already familiar with it. Since travel may be required for the role, a Category B driver's license is desirable. We place great emphasis on personal suitability and flexibility.
