Birka Gotland is the Baltic Sea's new leisure cruise ship, offering recreation and experiences for the everyday traveler. The vessel is operated by Gotland Alandia Cruises, established in 2023 as a joint venture between the shipping companies Viking Line and Gotlandsbolaget. Birka Gotland offers cruises and regular voyages between Stockholm, Mariehamn, and Visby starting from spring 2024.

We are looking for relief massage therapists for our Archipelago Spa!

The spa is a vital and highly sought-after part of the cruise experience for our guests, where a spa treatment or a moment of relaxation by the pool is greatly appreciated.

We are looking for you to join our relief staff pool who is service-oriented, positive, and flexible, with a passion for providing first-class service. You communicate easily with people, take responsibility, and show initiative.

Working as a relief staff member on Birka Gotland:

• A shift onboard varies between 1–14 consecutive cruises.
• We offer shifts as needed, both with short notice and with advance planning.
• Safety duties are included in all roles.
• Work clothes and all meals onboard are included. You have your own cabin and access to the staff gym and sauna.

Massage Therapist:

You have professional experience within the industry and previous work experience.

It is an advantage if you are a certified esthetician and have worked in the maritime industry.

As a massage therapist in our spa department, you will perform spa treatments, massage treatments, and facial treatments (if you are additionally certified as an esthetician according to our SPA menu). We offer a high standard in customer service and the execution of spa treatments. We rotate shifts at the spa reception, and cash register duties are part of the job description, along with recommending and selling Babor and Elemis products.
