About Us

SSIH - Specialized Home Care works with patients of different ages and with different diagnoses, all with a need for specialized healthcare. We are located in western Sörmland and are organizationally part of the medical department at Kullberg Hospital. Our task is to collaborate with hospitals, primary care, and the municipalities of Katrineholm, Flen, and Vingåker to offer the population specialized home care, 24/7. Approximately half of our patients are fully attached to us, often in the palliative stage of their illness; we then have medical responsibility for the patient's care and handle all the patient's complex needs over time. The other half of our patients are "intervention patients," meaning they are attached to us for a limited period, and we are responsible for a defined assignment. These patients usually belong to another clinic where the medical responsibility also lies.

Your Responsibilities

Working as a nurse in SSIH is inspiring and developing, both professionally and personally. The work provides broad competence in both medical-technical procedures and the ability to see the whole picture regarding the patient and the possibility of specialized care at home.

As an SSIH nurse, you perform specialized interventions in the patients' homes and can provide care under essentially the same conditions as in the hospital. SSIH makes both planned and acute visits around the clock, every day of the week. The nurse position involves working hours scheduled for weekdays and weekends, days and evenings.

Your Competence

You who apply for the position with us are a registered nurse or specialist nurse in a relevant specialty, with a strong interest in caring for and meeting patients and their relatives. We would like you to have previous experience working outside the hospital, in prehospital, basic, or specialized home care, and have several years of professional experience as a nurse.

You have a driver's license with category B (for manual transmission cars).

As a nurse in SSIH, you need to be flexible and adaptable in your approach. The work requires that you are confident, have the ability to work independently, and make your own decisions. We also believe you have good initiative and enjoy collaborating within and between professions. We place great emphasis on your personal qualities.

Employment Type

Fixed-term contract until 2026-12-31 with the possibility of extension and start date by agreement.
