Job Description

We are looking for an experienced project manager who wants to drive digital development across various industries, with a special focus on the public sector, energy, and defense. This role is ideal for you if you are motivated by creating structure, building trust, and leading people and organizations through change.

As a consultant at AFRY, you work closely with our clients in assignments where technology, business, and people meet. You become a key advisory partner and help organizations drive digitalization initiatives forward – from early feasibility studies to implementation and operation. Assignments vary in scope and complexity, and you work both strategically and operationally in roles as project manager and operations manager, primarily within critical societal functions.

In this role, you will lead development and implementation projects within IT and digitalization, where you are responsible for coordinating teams, stakeholders, and deliverables in complex organizations. You work within both project and operations management and play a key role in creating structure, driving collaboration, and ensuring progress. A central part of the job is also building long-term relationships and creating trust with clients and partners through clear communication and close collaboration at both operational and strategic levels. You also actively contribute to improvement work and identify opportunities that create long-term value for the client.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

• At least five years of experience leading IT, system development, or digitalization projects with budget responsibility in the public sector and/or the energy sector
• An academic degree in areas such as system development, management, or a similar field
• Certification in project management and knowledge of operations management, e.g., PM3, ITIL, or equivalent
• Good proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written

Experience with agile working methods, consulting roles, or requirements work in early project phases, as well as knowledge of LOU (Swedish Public Procurement Act), is considered a merit.

Our unit Digital Services operates across the entire development chain with experts in project management, requirements analysis, QA and testing, system development, architecture, data analysis and AI, cybersecurity, and more.
