We offer a fixed-term employment of 6 months starting in April or May.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is meticulous, responsible, and enjoys working in a team. You have good physical work capacity and a positive attitude, even when the workday requires a little extra. You should also be attentive and accommodating in your interactions.

Requirements:

●       B driver's license

●       Communicate fluently in Swedish, both spoken and written

●       Ability to handle heavy lifts and tasks that require good physical condition

About the position

As a seasonal worker at the Cemetery Administration, you will be part of a positive team working with the maintenance and care of Västerås' 23 cemeteries. You will start from Hovdestalund and perform various tasks, such as:

●       Mowing, trimming, and edging 

●       Pruning bushes and trees

●       Leaf removal in the fall

●       Planting seasonal flowers and perennials, often at memorial sites and graves. 

●       Weeding, watering, and fertilizing

●       Basic maintenance of graves, such as removing wilted flowers and wreaths and cleaning graves as needed

You will also receive a proper introduction and overview of the machines you will be using. A strong focus will also be placed on ergonomics and using your body correctly.

Working hours are Monday to Friday from 07:00 to 16:00.
