Job Description

AFRY is one of the leading players in civil engineering in the Nordic region, and thanks to our unique breadth, we are proud to deliver the infrastructure solutions of the future together with our colleagues from other technical areas.

We are now looking for an engaged leader for our civil engineering section in Dalarna!

As a Service Area Manager with us, you will have a role with great variety, opportunities for many contacts and client meetings, with responsibility for achieving successful and sustainable business. You are responsible for the entire section's operations, including strategy, profitability, marketing, quality, personnel, and competence development. You will combine your management role with working part-time as a consultant, for example as a project manager, task leader, or technical specialist.

The section currently consists of approximately 20 employees. You will report to the Regional Manager and sit on the region's management team. The region consists of over 300 employees and stretches geographically from Borlänge in the south to Kiruna in the north.

The location can be Falun, Borlänge, or Mora.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is passionate about team development, satisfied customers, and has a strong interest in the section's services!

For this role, we require extensive experience in the industry, a knack for doing business, and a deep understanding of technical issues in the field. We prefer candidates with experience as a consultant, but experience on the contractor or client side is also of interest. Fundamentally, you should have a relevant advanced education and a strong interest in technology and civil engineering.

You have previously demonstrated good leadership and can naturally engage and motivate others. We expect you to have good social skills and enjoy being challenged both technically and in terms of business and leadership. You are relationship-building, and it is a significant advantage if you have an established network in the industry. Naturally, you enjoy collaboration and thrive on sharing your knowledge with both clients and colleagues. Furthermore, you are driven by working in international teams. Therefore, for this role, we require you to be fluent in both Swedish and English and to express yourself easily in speech and writing.
