Responsibilities as District Manager

The Örnsköldsvik district currently consists of 9 measurement sites with approximately 25 employees. As the interim District Manager, you will be based at your own home, meaning you must reside within the district area. You will have primary responsibility for personnel and operations within your district. Your tasks include:

  • Ensuring quality and daily operations at our measurement sites
  • Personnel and work environment responsibility for your team
  • Recruiting, leading, and coaching employees with diverse skills and experiences, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment and a strong, engaged team.
  • Building strong customer relationships and ensuring our services deliver significant value to our clients
  • Working with results and goals for the district operations and ensuring we achieve them together
  • Monitoring budget and finances and managing result responsibility

Who are you?

We are looking for someone who wants and can lead personnel remotely. You thrive in a coaching role and are inspired by working towards clear goals. You are customer-oriented, understanding and capable of delivering what is valuable to the customer. Furthermore, you are a flexible problem-solver who is not afraid to re-plan and is clear in your communication. We place great importance on your personal qualities and that you, regardless of gender or origin, complement our operations.

As we collaborate across district boundaries regarding staffing, recruitment, and training, we also expect you to be a driven team player motivated by developing and uplifting your colleagues. You are an experienced computer user with no trouble learning new systems. Finally, a B-class driver's license is a prerequisite and thus a requirement, as business travel is part of the role.

Desirable/Assets

We prefer candidates with an interest in forestry. As the position involves personnel management, previous experience in leading others is also highly regarded.

Employment

This is a fixed-term contract with a start date of 2026-06-01 (earlier is welcome) during the current district manager's absence, ending no later than 2027-06-30.
