RESPONSIBILITIES
As a cook, you will prepare meals primarily for the inmates at the prison, but also to some extent for the staff. The tasks include all common duties in an industrial kitchen, such as planning, purchasing, and preparing breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Responsibilities also include cleaning the kitchen premises, dishwashing, and self-control in accordance with applicable legislation. Preparation of dietary and other special meals is included. The work is carried out in collaboration with staff in other functions.
The kitchen team consists of 10 cooks and a kitchen manager. Together, they prepare meals for approximately 430 inmates and about 100 staff lunches daily.
Start date desired: 2026-06-01 for local introduction.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who is secure, stable, and self-aware. You remain calm and controlled in stressful situations and collaborate well with others. You have good judgment and take responsibility for your tasks. As a cook, you also need to be service-oriented and have a willingness to help others.

You are also aware of and understand how background, culture, and group affiliation affect yourself and others. We are looking for someone who has:
- Secondary school education in restaurant or large-scale catering, or other education combined with experience deemed relevant by the Prison and Probation Service
- The ability to express yourself well orally and in writing in Swedish
It is an advantage if you have:
- Experience working in an industrial kitchen
- Experience working with self-control procedures
- Experience working with special diets
Pay form: Monthly salary.
Employment type: Fixed-term employment.
Duration: 11 days - 3 months.
Working hours: Daytime.
