We are looking for a committed nursing assistant for our dementia unit!

Welcome to our dementia unit, a safe and homely environment consisting of 8 apartments.

Here, we work to create a meaningful everyday life for our residents. You will become part of a competent and supportive team that works with a person-centered approach and places great importance on building good relationships with both the residents and their relatives. In our unit, we work from an individualized perspective where we always prioritize the needs of the residents. You will work with everything from care and daily activities to creating a safe and stimulating environment for our residents. We have close collaboration with nurses, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists to ensure high-quality care.

The position involves working according to a schedule, including day, evening, and weekend shifts.

Responsibilities

Qualified nursing assistant, preferably with professional experience. The position requires that you can work independently as well as in a team and are flexible, as each workday looks different.

We would like you to:

• Have experience working in dementia care or elderly care.
• Have knowledge of and/or experience in working with person-centered care.
• Be solution-focused and have a genuine interest in developing care for people with dementia.
• Have experience with documentation.
• Be confident in your professional role and have a professional approach towards users, relatives, and colleagues.

To provide care and service with the user’s needs at the center according to assistance decisions and implementation plans, with respect for the user’s integrity, participation, and self-determination.

The responsibilities also include IT-based documentation and administration as well as delegated health and medical tasks.

Qualifications

Care and nursing program or other education that provides nursing assistant competence and good computer skills. The position requires good collaboration skills, flexibility, and independence. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability. Delegation of medication.

We consider it an advantage if you have dementia training.

Conditions

As of July 1, 2023, nursing assistant is a protected professional title, and one must apply for a certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare to use the title nursing assistant.

You must have passing grades in Swedish, both spoken and written.

Before an employment offer, a criminal record extract from the police must be presented.

Interviews will take place during the application period.
