AVL is one of the world’s leading mobility technology companies for development, simulation, and testing in the automotive industry and beyond. We provide concepts, solutions, and methodologies in fields like vehicle development and integration, e-mobility, automated and connected mobility (ADAS/AD), and software for a greener, safer, better world of mobility.
Are you a team player with a passion for technology, vehicles, and the future of drivetrains? Then you might be the one we are looking for!
We are looking for someone who enjoys varied tasks – both practical and theoretical – and who wants to be part of developing tomorrow's technology. We are currently seeking test cell engineers for our facilities in Södertälje and Haninge.
AVL is a leading partner in Electromobility, Vehicle, and ADAS/AD within the automotive and energy industries. AVL MTC, our Swedish subsidiary, has around 250 employees based in Gothenburg, Haninge, Stockholm, and Södertälje. As an engineer at AVL, you collaborate with experts in our global teams and with our successful customers, working with cutting-edge technology.
As a test cell engineer, you work closely with both technology and the customer, ensuring that test objects and test cells operate optimally throughout the testing process. You prepare, install, and monitor test objects and perform calibration, service, and maintenance of both test objects and test cells. The role includes quality assurance and analysis of test data as well as configuring measurement systems, both hardware and software. You work systematically with troubleshooting and documentation while also performing practical work with testing equipment, material handling, and logistics. The job also involves identifying and reporting deviations and maintaining daily contact and close cooperation with the customer, making communication and relationship-building a central part of your daily work.
To succeed in this role, we believe you have:
- The ability to work both independently and in a team
- A strong desire to develop and learn new things
- Documented experience of practical mechanical work with vehicles, machines, or similar
- An understanding of the importance of following processes and routines, but also the ability to solve problems independently
- A quality-conscious approach to work and an interest in improvement work
- Good technical understanding of drivetrains
- The ability to communicate clearly in both Swedish and English, in speech and writing
- The ability to work according to shift schedules (2-, 3-, or 4-shift)
Driver's license B (requirement)
Meritorious:
- Post-secondary education in a relevant technical field
- Experience in testing or development in a controlled environment
- Documented experience of customer-facing work
