About us

The Property Department, which is part of the Office for Community Building, is responsible for managing, building, and developing the municipality's operational premises such as preschools, schools, care facilities, and housing, as well as facilities and venues for sports and culture. The department is led by the property manager who has three units under them: the project and property development unit, the management unit, and the operations unit.

The project and property development unit consists of project managers, project coordinators, and energy-climate environmental coordinators. The management unit consists of property managers, space planners, and property administrators. The operations unit consists of operations technicians, caretakers, electricians, plumbers, carpenters, facility managers for fire alarms, coordinators, and green space managers.

We are responsible for keeping the property in good condition, ensuring that technical systems function, managing security, energy, and the environment, as well as coordinating external services and suppliers. Efficient operations also require good communication with tenants and other units, as well as a continuous focus on economy and sustainability. Together, we are about 20 people with various skills in property operations; energy, control & monitoring, electricity, plumbing, cooling, ventilation, and heating.

About the position

You will be responsible for the operation, supervision, and optimization of the property's technical systems with a focus on energy efficiency and operational reliability. The work includes monitoring, analyzing, and improving systems for heating, ventilation, cooling, and control and monitoring systems. The role also includes troubleshooting and resolving technical issues in property installations as well as following up on operational alarms and deviations to ensure stable and efficient operations. Other parts of the job include:

  • Coordination with contractors during service, maintenance, and technical measures.
  • Energy monitoring is an important part of the work where energy data for electricity, heating, and water is analyzed to identify deviations and optimize operations. Documentation is prepared for energy efficiency measures and contributes to energy reports and statistics.
  • Work in overarching control and monitoring systems (SCADA/BMS), where operational strategies, schedules, and set points are adjusted to optimize the functionality of the facilities.
  • Follow-up of ventilation systems, heating systems, and heat pumps, as well as participation in balancing and optimizing technical systems.
  • Contributing to identifying energy-saving opportunities, optimizing operating times and temperatures, and participating in projects related to energy efficiency and sustainable property operations.

Are you the one we are looking for?

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Education as an operations/property technician
  • Experience with property technical systems (heating, ventilation, cooling)
  • Experience with control and regulation systems
  • Basic understanding of energy and energy use
  • Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
  • Driver's license at least B category
  • Good computer skills

It is advantageous if you have:

  • Experience with energy monitoring systems (for example, Vitec)
  • Experience with overarching control systems
  • Experience with energy efficiency
  • Swimming pool water technology.

As a person, you are structured and stable. We also see that you are collaborative and have analytical skills to fit into the role.
