Seasonal Cemetery Worker for Funeral Services

Turinge-Taxinge Parish is part of the Church of Sweden and geographically coincides with Nykvarn Municipality.

In the parish, there are three churches and two cemeteries, with a total of about 25 employees.

Within the cemetery administration, we always strive to find ways to develop our work, both in terms of green areas, landscaping, and service. We want to maintain the high standards we have established and would like you to assist us in this work. We are now looking for a cemetery worker for a seasonal employment of 3 months during the summer, starting June 1, 2026.

Responsibilities

As a cemetery worker, you will be part of our team that takes care of the burial sites with all the tasks involved in cemetery maintenance and funeral services, such as mowing, hedge trimming, grave maintenance, and planting.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with experience working in a cemetery, park, or similar environment. Education in the green sector is a significant plus. For this position, you must be service-oriented, meticulous, and organized. You should have good physical fitness, be outgoing, and view the team's work from a holistic perspective. You must have the ability and understanding to meet people in grief with dignity.

A valid driver's license (B) is required for this position. Technical knowledge for handling gardening equipment and a license for tool carriers are advantageous.
